Work, work, work and more work
So, here's what we've been up to this last little while. :)

Playing in the nice weather right before winter FINALLY hit :)

And here is winter!! Gavin LOVES to play in the snow. :)
More sledding:

(This was his FAVORITE way of riding on the sled) :)
We FINALLY rearranged my pantry and cabinets. They were still in pretty rough shape from the day we moved in. There was nothing ok with my kitchen. ;) So, Gavin was there to help us, of course!

Here's what all of my cabinets look like now:

^The hall closet

^ Both sides of my weirdly laid out pantry

^The medicine cabinet

^The pantry/cabinet thingy
Awww!!! Isn't it all so pretty?!?! :P
Aaaannnnddd!!!! Drum roll PLEASE!!!!!
THE WALL!!!!!

It's still a work in progress. But I am LOVING IT!!!!! It currently has empty frames, post-it notes where frames have been designated and a bunch of frames that we still need to hang up higher and that's a little tricky.
Most recently we cleaned up the garage, too. It is AMAZING. It's SO MUCH easier to park our cars! Finally! Maybe I'll post some pictures of that later.

Welcome back to blogging!
Welcome back to my blog! I'm here to update you on what's been going on... Unfortunately I only have a couple of pictures, but some REALLY good ones!
Ok, so my house is a home of MANY colors! We counted and the grand total of 23 colors! Wahoo!! Ugh! Let me be the first to say that I LOVE a splash of color! Maybe even more than others. In fact, I know that my dad would just LOVE to have a house all the same color. I do, however, have limits. Such as, most of the home should be the same color, but not all. Rooms look interesting with an accent wall, or a half of all of the walls an accent color. Or a bathroom a coordinating color. And so on and so on. :) Too much dragging? Tough stuff!! I feel better. ;)
Ok, so here is what our guest bedroom looked like this when we moved in:

Not for me. Good for them, not so much for me... :)
So, after a few days of hard work and sneaking around so that I could surprise Dan, this is what the room looks like now:

Now, it's boring. LOL. It is going to be changed out and will be turning into Gavin's room. We have to touch up the paint and then we're moving in a bunk bed/desk/bookshelf/dresser. It looks similar to this:

The only differnces are that the ladder is next to the bottom bed instead of having that second set of drawers, which makes the desk a little bit bigger.
After we get that taken care of we'll be decking his room out with sports STUFF! :) I'm very excited and have most everything to put on the walls already. (Gavin's room has been a bit of a work in progress for about a year now. :P)
Once we finish that up we'll be starting on this room:

This is the room that Gavin is currently sleeping in. It has some of his sports stuff up, but mostly not. It kind of glows. It's VERY bright green. :) This will soon be our new guest bedroom. (I want to let you all know that despite the cute appearance of this room the wallpaper border is unfinished and has been picked at in attempts to be taken down - not by us.)
I want to mention that I haven't taken pictures yet, but I've made progress in Dan's office, the laundry room, the family room and kitchen/dining. I will do my best to take some pictures and get them up this week. :)
Happy living!!

Fall Family Pix!!
Kelly is my UBER MOST BELOVED photographer EVER!!! She ALWAYS takes such good pix of us!! I will keep her for as long as she'll let me and I recommend her to ALL!!! She doesn't do this professionally, which means that she's INSANELY cheap. But her photo's always turn out so well!! I love LOVE LOVE her!! Also, she doesn't do prints for you, but she edits the photos and then gives you the whole disc. It is AMAZING!! Anyway, if anyone is looking for a well priced and fantastic photographer let me know. For now, here are some of our pix!

Halloween!!
So, I'm SUPER lame!! I have a whopping ONE photo from Halloween. Which is so sad because I really thought our house looked cool and Gavin was super cute. Plus, Dan and I dressed up to take Gavin trick-or-treating. Ugh! I'm such a failure!! Boo! (Hahaha! That's kind of funny...)
Anyway, here is my one awesome photo!!

My dad almost got kicked out of the house for wearing this shirt... It got worse when he came into my home in a bright red Ute sweatshirt. Blasphemy!! ;)
Hope everyone had a great Halloween. Gavin was AWESOME!! He walked around the trick-or-treats at both Dan's and my dad's work telling everyone, "Just take one." It was adorable! Then, when we went trick-or-treating on our street (we were kind of lazy and only took him on our cul-de-sac), Gavin wanted to knock himself and would shout, "Trick or treat!" so stinkin cute!!! Lastly, after the first 2 houses he would let go of our hands when we got close to the next house and run up to the door saying, "Mine do it. Mine push the button." He wanted to ring everyone's doorbell's but he couldn't reach most of them. Eh, it was still AMAZINGLY fun! :D

What would your kid(s) choose?
At Gavin's 2 year check up the dr emphasized the need for iron in Gavin's diet. He was actually quite knowledgeable as to WHERE to find this product. "Dark greens," he said. I asked, what about peas? He did not know. But, dark greens: green beans and broccoli. Well, ok, thanks so much. Gavin loves green beans,
so we should be set. I was, however, curious after that as to what peas could do for him. (I, myself, HATE peas...) So, I checked the cans in my cupboard. Huh. The peas and carrots have 4% iron and the green beans only have 2%. Interesting... I thought to myself, "I'll have to check at the store against a can of ONLY peas, maybe the carrots are affecting the numbers." So, I did just that. And, it was official: We are NOT going back to that dr. I didn't love him when we were there and there have been other things that bothered me, but this was my last straw. You can NOT recommend something to a diet if you yourself does not know where to find said recommendation. Super lame. Go peas for iron!!!

Anyway, it's now been on my mind and I check random jars, bottles, and cans. I just checked Spaghetti-o's. And, who'da thunk it, they have 10% iron! What?! This seems like it would be so much easier to feed a kid! No fight, a whole lunch.. Maybe. Anway, I thought, "We HAVE to get Gavin on Spaghetti-o's!" LOL. Yep, I really thought that, by the way. :P So, I'm wondering, what would YOUR kids choose?

I'll bet you money, right now, that I will get a screaming tantrum from trying to feed Gavin Spaghetti-o's but a giggle when I bust out the green beans....
I think my kid is broken.. ;)
Good luck in your en devours to get your needed iron!!
