My silly, perfect, little man!

My mom might completely disagree with the "little" part. ;) She's just been down for a week long visit. As usual, we miss her already and she just flew home today! We have so much fun when she's here. Gavin LOVES having someone who will ALWAYS spoil him living in his OWN house! ;)

So, this is what face we get when we say, "Gavin, smile!" Hahaha!! It's hysterical right now but I'm thinking that I'm going to dislike it in a couple of years when I'm trying to get a good picture...

Clearly he is NOT ready for me to pack away the bumbo... Too bad!! Time for big boy toys! ;)

Hope everyone is having a good time with this new year!! We've been FROZEN solid for the last week or so. We had HEAVY rain on Tuesday night and then... Well, and then it FROZE. So, TONS of businesses were closed: dr's, restaurants, shopping centers, and so on. A few days later it snowed. SERIOUSLY?! SERIOUSLY?!?! Umm.. Hello, my name is Shannon and I thought that I ordered one life in Texas? Where it does NOT snow! Anyway, my mom and I were 2 of a very small number of people who went out and about on Tuesday. Haha! Mostly trucks and SUV's and me. In my little Kia Spectra. With bald tires. Ha! Good fun, though. :) Well, here's some small amount of pictures of the snow.

My little snow drift at the back door. It completely froze over and anytime we had to go out back we had to move VERY SLOWLY. Heehee. It was like iceskating... even over the grass. Weird.

Gavin LOVED the snow. He thought that it was so fun to walk around and hear it crunch under his shoes and watch it cover his shoes. Very fun.

And, lastly, trying to get the snow off of Gavin's shoes. He thought this was hysterical and went back to the door after Dan put him down and tried to do it himself. Not just smacking his shoes on the door, but he bent his knees and was trying to swing. Absolutely priceless. :)
