I'm so lazy! :P

So I don't have much to say... I'm getting ready to head to Utah with Gavin. My mom and I are keeping the tradition alive! We're going to try and get our Christmas shopping done next week. Yay for shopping for Christmas in October - it drives my husband NUTS! When I fly home I get to be on the same flight with my mom and dad. Hooray for FOUR extra helping hands!! I'm so thrilled!! They're heading down to Texas for the slaughtering of BYU by TCU. It's going to be so ugly... I'm trying to figure out how to get away with wearing a purple shirt... ;) After that my dad will be leaving us. :( But, my mom will be staying with us! :) She's going to be here through Halloween and I'm so glad that we're able to have her here for these special occasions. :) Also, on Halloween my cousin and her little fam will be swinging by. I'm so darn excited!! I haven't seen them since she and I were preggers around Christmas time. So, our boys will get to meet. YAY!! That should be lots of fun!! Anyway, that's about all for now. I know that it's not much excitement but at least I didn't completely bail on blogging and I actually wrote SOMETHING! Here's some pix!

^ My final project from my cake class - I'm still in need of serious help! :P

^ Gavin cleaning up the napkins that he shredded and then threw on the floor.

^Gavin climbing the ladder to help install the curtain rods. (There was some serious issues with our curtain rods and they were unable to be hung on this night. :( They are now up, though!)

^ So proud of himself for drinking from a real cup!

^ Hanging out while Mom sews the curtains - he was COMPLETELY mesmerized by the sewing machine.

^ FINALLY drinking milk that is NOT in a bottle! WOOHOO!

^ Free trip to the zoo with Daddy. Thanks to Daddy's client for the tickets to their zoo day!

^ Gavin's balancing act on his new big boy chair.

^ Finally drinking from a REAL sippy cup instead of one with a straw!

^ Close up of my new curtains

^ The curtains in all of their horrific glory! Heehee! Dan and I failed and hung the rods to high. UGH! Also, the curtain hiding behind the recliner is about 2 inches shorter than the others. Boo! And, lastly, it was so much darker than I'm accustomed to that I cheated and used rubberbands to tie them back until I purchase my hooks and decide on my real pull backs. (Please, don't worry too much, I will be fixing the issues with my curtains shortly.) ;)

Wow, I can't believe your little guy is getting so big! He's adorable - he kinda looks like Dan in the eyes and you everywhere else. Good job Shannon :)
